Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Career and Education Outreach Specialist to deliver career guidance to students in grades 5–12, their families, and district staff across the Deep East Texas area. You will partner with local schools to connect students with in-demand industries, postsecondary options, RAPs, internships, and college pathways.

The role requires regular travel within the 12-county region, a bachelor’s degree, and at least two years in education or workforce programs, plus strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, education, or related field; substitutions allowed per experience.
• At least two years of experience in education, youth training, or workforce development programs.
• Ability to travel frequently within the 12-county area.
• Strong oral and written communication with diverse populations, especially youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide career information, awareness, and resources for students, parents, and staff.
• Conduct initial orientations and refreshers for school staff.
• Explain in-demand industry sectors and postsecondary options using Texas resources.
• Organize career exploration events, fairs, and workshops.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and customers.

Skills
