Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Career and Education Outreach Specialist to guide students in grades 5–12 and engage families, districts, and staff across the Deep East Texas region. The role focuses on career development, postsecondary connections, and workforce engagement through partnerships with local districts and state resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, business, education, or related field.
• At least two years of experience in education, youth training, or workforce development.
• Ability to travel frequently within the 12-county area.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide career information and resources to students in grades 5–12 and stakeholders.
• Conduct orientations for school staff on resources and role.
• Share info on in-demand sectors and postsecondary options using Texas Workforce resources and tools.
• Train district staff to use career tools and LMCI website.
• Organize job fairs, workshops, and site visits.
• Maintain confidentiality of students and customers.
• Collaborate with schools, districts, and workforce partners.
