Job summary

East Side House Settlement is seeking a Career Specialist to support George Washington YABC students in exploring post-secondary education, internships, and employment opportunities. You will provide direct advising, lead workshops on resumes and interviews, and build partnerships with colleges and employers.

The role reports to the Program Director and requires strong communication, organization, and data-tracking skills; odd-even schedule aligns with program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field; two years youth services experience.
• Master’s degree preferred and strong writing/communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group advising on college and career pathways.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on resumes, interviews, and readiness.
• Cultivate employer and partner relationships to expand opportunities.
• Track student outcomes and maintain accurate data in required systems.
• Coordinate campus-based and virtual events and report findings.
