Job summary

Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania is seeking an Youth Employment Specialist to support adjudicated and at-risk youth through career exploration and job readiness training. The role covers on-site and community-based services to help participants set goals, build skills, and access employment opportunities.

The Employment Specialist coordinates with youth to ensure their needs are met, fosters a safe environment, and aligns progress with program goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years experience or
• Associate degree with 2 years experience
• Required degree: Human Services, Education, Teaching, Social Work, Communications, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Complete enrollment paperwork and provide job readiness assessment.
• Assist participants in securing resources and employment.
• Develop partnerships by analyzing local job market and trend data.
• Provide job-specific training, support and supervision to youth.
• Develop employment plans and assist with obtaining related services.
• Complete program documentation promptly.
• Build community and employer partnerships through workshops and information sessions.
• Deliver employment action plans and help participants access services.
