Job summary

Lavender Youth Recreation & Information Center (LYRIC) in San Francisco is seeking a Career and Independent Living Program Coordinator to support internship, mentorship, and workforce development programs for LGBTQQ+ youth ages 18–24. The role co-designs and leads programs that build life and career skills through paid internships, mentorship, drop-in programs, and youth-led projects.

You’ll cultivate partnerships with nonprofits, city programs, and employers to create real-world placement

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in education, workforce development, or related roles.
• Experience delivering career and life-skills programming to youth.
• Ability to build partnerships with nonprofits and city programs.
• Familiar with harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and youth development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead internship cohorts and mentorship programs for youth.
• Develop and facilitate workshops on job readiness and life skills.
• Coordinate intern onboarding, outreach, recruitment, and scheduling.
• Track program data, youth milestones, and timesheets.
