Job summary

Lavender Youth Recreation & Information Center (LYRIC) is seeking a Temporary Schools Program Coordinator to deliver school-based support groups for SFUSD students, fostering affirming environments and leadership opportunities for LGBTQQ+ youth.

Youth development, harm-reduction informed education, and collaboration with school staff will drive facilitation and program planning during January–June 2027 at SFUSD sites and LYRIC’s Purple House.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in youth programming, education, or related fields with structured group facilitation for middle/high school students.
• Knowledge of positive youth development, harm reduction, and youth sexual health education.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly support groups promoting positive identity development and peer connection.
• Center youth voices and provide leadership opportunities within groups.
• Plan curriculum informed by positive youth development and youth sexual health education.
• Coordinate school-site and LYRIC program activities and documentation.
