Job summary

Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking a Youth Care Worker to supervise youth in a safe, supportive environment and assist with daily routines. This role focuses on safety, mentorship, and teamwork within a structured program.

You will respond to challenging behaviors with de-escalation techniques, collaborate with the team, and help maintain program expectations across shifts. Must be able to stay active and on your feet.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical examination, and TB test.
• Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a group of youth in a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of students while maintaining program expectations.
• Conduct routine room checks and monitor student activities throughout your shift.
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, recreation, bedtime, and morning wake-up.
• Build positive relationships by serving as a mentor and role model.
• Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviors using appropriate de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with your team to provide consistent care and support for each student.

Join Our Dynamic Rite of Passage Team as a Youth Care Worker at Canyon State Academy in Queen Creek, AZ, a community rooted in a rich agricultural history and known for cultivating growth both in its fields and in the lives of Youth-by fostering positive change and empowerment.

Canyon State Academy is located on a scenic 180-acre campus surrounded by a Farm, Student Housing for 300 + youth, a Thrift Store, Cafe, Barbershop and Church open to the community incorporating life skills for our students. Along with a fully equipped weight room, football stadium, and athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room & more), Canyon State has it all!

B Shift Days –Every other Wednesday 2pm - 9pm; Thursday to Saturday 8a-9p *
