Job summary

Perimeter Behavioral of Forrest City is seeking a Mental Health Technician to support children and adolescents receiving behavioral health care. You will supervise patients, observe behavior, document rounds, escort patients, and help teach life skills in a safe, therapeutic setting.

This full‑time role offers shifts across day, evening, and overnight, with training provided for safety interventions. A high school diploma, at least one year of related experience, being 21+, and ability to lift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of related experience in assisted living, residential, or hospital setting; psychiatric experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Education or work experience in psychology, human services, nursing, or social work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive supervision and positive interaction with patients throughout the shift.
• Observe and assess behavior, complete observation rounds, and document patient behavior accurately.
• Escort patients and orient them to the unit.
• Model and teach life skills, assist with activities of daily living.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.
• Use physical intervention or restraint when appropriate, following facility training; training is provided.
