Qualifications

• Must be 19 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work rotating shifts (days, swing, graveyard, holidays).
• Candidates who speak multiple languages preferred.
• A valid Utah Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with youth ordered into the care and custody of JJYS.
• Monitor visitors and residents within the facility.
• Schedule and coordinate activities for the youth.
• Assist the Control Supervisor by making perimeter checks.
• Resolve potentially dangerous situations to ensure safety of staff, clients and the public.
• Participate in one week of New Employee Training and de-escalation training within 90 days.
• Transport youth and provide a continuum of intervention and rehabilitation programs.
• Communicate information clearly in writing.
