Job summary

Covenant Case Management Services is seeking a patient Direct Support Professional (1099 Contractor) to provide one-on-one care in Raleigh, NC for a school-aged boy. You’ll supervise, support daily living skills, and guide transitions with positive engagement and routine-focused strategies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with care coordinators and family, using structured routines, and applying positive behavior support to reduce stress and foster independence, all while meeting schedule

Qualifications

• Contractor status: must be willing to contract as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Experience: experience supporting youth with developmental needs and implementing structured routines (preferred).
• Transportation: valid North Carolina Driver’s License, reliable personal vehicle, and active auto insurance (required).
• Screening: ability to pass standard background check.

Responsibilities

• Routine & Transition Support: Provide adult supervision and positive prompting to help guide smooth transitions between activities, such as school preparation, homework, meals, and bedtime.
• Daily Living Skills: Prompt and assist with personal hygiene, following step-by-step directions, and maintaining a consistent daily schedule.
• Creative & Stress Redirection: Utilize positive interests, such as conversations about dogs, as a comforting distraction to help de-escalate stress or focus during challenging moments.
• Goal Progression: Collaborate with care coordinators and family members to foster independence, routine consistency, and personal growth.
