Job summary

Covenant Case Management Services seeks an energetic Direct Support Professional (1099 Independent Contractor) to provide one-on-one care for a high-energy, non-verbal child with autism in Albemarle, NC. You will supervise, engage in development activities, and support daily routines.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, can pass background checks, and hold a valid NC driver's license. Positions offer CLS and respite hours with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Contractor status: willing to contract as a 1099 Independent Contractor.
• Physical stamina: able to run, move quickly, maintain constant activity.
• Education: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: experience with non-verbal children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Active supervision & elopement safety to prevent running away.
• Life skills development such as potty training and mealtime routines.
• Play and engagement at eye level to build trust and engagement.
• Coordinate with care coordinators and family to maintain structured routines and track progress.
