Job summary

Marsell Wellness Center is seeking a Youth Care Worker in Ontario to support the safety and wellbeing of children through intake, transportation, and day‑to‑day care activities. The role involves travel and collaboration with the Foster Family Services team.

The position is non-exempt with an hourly rate of $21.63 to $22.60, with duties including safeguarding, documentation, training participation, and adherence to child-abuse reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Language Ability: Read/interpret rules and procedures; write reports; speak effectively to groups.
• Mathematical Ability: Calculate figures and percentages for documentation.
• Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems with concrete variables.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation support to the case management team.
• Escort children and verify identification of approved sponsor; release custody to sponsor.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of reunification.
• Attend scheduled trainings related to the position.
• Provide day-to-day coverage within the agency service facility.
• Adhere to Child Abuse reporting requirements.
• Complete tasks accurately and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
