Center for Positive Changes is seeking a compassionate Youth Care Worker to support youth in STRTP residential programs in Oceanside, CA. The role offers full-time/part-time/on-call shifts with starting pay at $22.00 per hour.

Ideal candidates have a degree or related certifications and at least 1 year of STRTP experience, plus 100 hours mentoring or working with youth. This entry into behavioral health emphasizes safety, trust, and meaningful relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree if hired after Jan 1, 2017.
• Valid Child Development Teaching Permit, Alcohol Counselor Certificate, and/or Drug Counselor Certificate.
• Completed 12-semester units of Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education or related field.
• At least 1 year of experience working at STRTP or similar population.
• At least 100 hours of experience working with youth as a mentor, athletic coach, teacher, vocational coach, tutor, counselor, or other relevant experience.
• Relevant life experience in child welfare, mental health or juvenile justice systems as a consumer, mentor, or caregiver or other relevant experience.
