Job summary

Center for Positive Changes (CFPC) is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician to join our STRTP youth residential program in San Diego. You will deliver specialized mental health services, support youth in developing coping skills, emotional regulation, and independent living abilities under clinical supervision.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a field related to mental health treatment of children and adolescents.
• Bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of qualifying full-time mental health experience.
• Associate degree with at least 4 years of qualifying full-time mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) within the Rehabilitation Technician scope of practice.
• Facilitate skill-building, psychoeducation, and rehabilitation services for youth and families.
• Reinforce treatment goals established by the clinical team.
• Teach healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, and independent living skills.
• Support crisis intervention and behavioral de-escalation using trauma-informed practices.
• Coordinate services with residential staff, social workers, probation officers, schools, and community partners.
• Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and multidisciplinary treatment meetings.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
• Complete documentation in compliance with CalAIM, DHCS, STRTP, and Medi-Cal requirements.
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and submit documentation for co-signature.
