Job summary

Jacksonville Youth Academy, a 24-bed all-boys program, seeks a Youth Care Worker to provide 24/7 safety and support. You will mentor and develop skills to help each youth thrive and work with staff to implement each youth's treatment plan.

The role offers 12-hour shifts with guaranteed overtime and a pay rate of $19 per hour. A high school diploma is required, along with 21+ years of age and ability to pass background, drug, TB, and registry checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test.
• Able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide in person safety and security around-the-clock for the youth.
• Meet the physical, personal and health needs of each youth through individual mentoring and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities; participate in educational, social, athletic, and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with other professional staff to meet the goals of each youth's treatment plan.
