Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe environment for youth and supervise behavior.
• Teach new ways of dealing with situations and people.
• Provide physical, medical, and emotional care to youth in the facility.
• Maintain supervision, interpersonal relations, and social skills training.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Some college or bachelor's degree in related field preferred with three hours in adolescent development/psychology or 45 hours of documented child care training

One year of experience as a youth care worker or house parent in a youth facility

Must be at least 21 years of age
