Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with children in child welfare, medical, or social service settings is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision of children in care and always maintains line-of-sight.
• Provides oversight during recreation, mealtime, relaxing time, and play.
• Assists during the transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and from one physical location to another.
• Interacts with children in an appropriate manner, including playing games or during recreational time.
• Ensures that all contract agency policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensures quality care for all children residents and timely response to children’s needs.
• Provides reports to the manager regarding children’s needs, activities, and documentation of time/location.
• Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment for the children by following recommended and legal medical standards of care.
