Job summary

The Town of Castle Rock is seeking camp assistants to support daily programs at Miller Activity Complex in Castle Rock, CO. You will help implement activities, supervise children, assist with enrollments, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.

Applicants must be 16+, hold CPR/First Aid certifications or be willing to obtain them on hire, and complete 15 training hours annually. This position offers flexible, on-site hours supporting a variety of camps in a vibrant community setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Ability to communicate clearly with parents about daily activities.
• Knowledge of safety practices and ability to assist with routine program operations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the daily implementation of programs and activities.
• Helps maintain a comfortable environment for safety, health and well-being of participants.
• Assists with planning and coordination of activities, including set up and clean up.
• Helps lead children through activities including organized sports, swimming, weekly field trips, arts and crafts, and games.
• Helps process enrollments and registrations for students. Collects payments.
• May communicate with parents regarding their children daily during drop off and pick up.
• Follows established safety practices. Administers First Aid and performs CPR if necessary.
• Cleans, sanitizes and organizes classroom.
• Must complete fifteen (15) training hours annually.
