Job summary

ALIGN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LLC in Bergen County, NJ is seeking a part-time Behavioral Assistant to work one-to-one with youth in homes, schools, and community settings under the New Jersey CSOC.

You will support behavioral goals, model coping strategies, and coach caregivers; duties include progress notes in CYBER and collaboration with clinical staff. Flexible after-school and evening hours.

This role provides hands-on experience toward MSW or ABA work, with onboarding and supervision.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience with youth behavioral/mental health.
• Valid NJ driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Availability for after-school and evening hours.
• Patience, follow-through and comfort working inside family homes.

Responsibilities

• Work one-to-one with youth ages 5–20 in home/community per treatment goals.
• Model, coach and practice skills in routines, coping and communication.
• Help youth regulate behaviors and coach caregivers when you're not there.
• Write a progress note for every session in CYBER within agency timeframe.
• Attend Child Family Team meetings when requested; check in with IIC clinician.
• Work under supervision of clinical staff as required by N.J.A.C. 10:77.
