Job summary

Spectrum Child and Family Services seeks a Behavioral Aide to provide on-site coordination of active treatment for youth in Flint, MI. The role involves mentoring, day respite, supervising parent visits, and completing required paperwork within a team devoted to helping families and children with behavioral and emotional challenges.

Applicants should have at least a high school diploma, with an associate’s degree in human services preferred, and be flexible for evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma required; associate’s degree in human services preferred.
• Experience: ability to implement treatment plans, goals, and behavioral interventions.
• Communication: professional verbal and written communication; flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Understanding: knowledge of behavioral principles and their application with children with behavioral challenges.
• Commitment: supportive, respectful program assistance for SED children.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site active treatment for youth in the program.
• Provide behavioral support through mentoring and day respite.
• Supervise parent visitation and assist with paperwork and calls to providers.
• Complete all duties assigned by the treatment team.
• Work independently on assigned shifts to support youth in care.
