Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Kansas City area is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct care to individuals with mental health needs. You will assist with daily living activities, implement treatment plans, and help maintain a safe, recovery-focused environment.

Work alongside psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists to support patients, document observations, and participate in crisis prevention. A compassionate, reliable team player is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Education or GED with two years relatable employment history.
• Experience in Human Services preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
• Be able to obtain a Class E driver's license if required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned patients, assist with daily living tasks, de-escalate situations, enforce safety protocols.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate recreation/leisure and occupational therapy sessions to foster skills and coping.
• Maintain clean, organized living spaces and promote prosocial behaviors.
• Document observations and interventions in health records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and therapists to optimize care.
