Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health seeks a Weekend Behavioral Health Technician to support children and adolescents in various care settings in the Kansas City area. You will monitor patients, assist with daily tasks, de-escalate crises, document observations, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

High School Education OR equivalent and two years responsible employment history.
Experience in Human Services or related field preferred.
A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle; Class E license if required.

Responsibilities

Monitor assigned patients, assist with daily living tasks, de-escalate crises, and follow safety protocols.
Plan and lead therapeutic activities and group sessions to support skills and coping.
Document observations and incidents in EHR or paper records as required.
Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other staff to coordinate care.
Assist with discharge planning and aftercare coordination.
