Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth & Families in Indiana is seeking a Mental Health Technician to join a 40-hour weekly team across shifts, including Sundays to Thursdays or Tuesdays to Saturdays. You will help maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for youth aged 10-18 and support DBT-based care plans.

We value empathy, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced residential setting. Per diem options are available; shift differentials apply for evenings and nights.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; related degree preferred.
• One year of behavioral health/psychiatric work experience required.
• College student pursuing a degree in behavioral health or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Implement elements of treatment plan and interventions to provide quality care.
• Document and communicate client behaviors.
• Follow clinical and unit programming.
• Assist with patient groups and activities.
• Provide DBT skills coaching with patients.
• Maintain therapeutic boundaries and crisis intervention techniques.
