Job summary

Midwest Center for Youth and Families in Indiana seeks a caring Recreation Therapist to join our DBT-focused program for youth aged 10–18. You will assess patients, set individualized recreation goals, and coordinate therapeutic activities within the DBT framework.

Duties include activities, planning outings, completing skills assessments within 10 days of admission, and documenting groups. Requires a Bachelor's in Therapeutic Recreation (or equivalent), licensure or certification, and at least

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of related work experience, with knowledge of mental health diagnoses preferred.
• Licensed or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required.
• Must be 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide activities to meet the individual needs of patients following a program group schedule.
• Plan, organize, and implement outings.
• Complete skills assessment to evaluate level of functioning within 10 days of admission.
• Complete documentation on patient groups provided.
