Job summary

Saint Francis Ministries is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to support youth who have experienced trauma and behavioral health challenges. You will supervise daily activities, provide structure, and model positive behavior while ensuring safety and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes collaboration with staff, de-escalation techniques, and adherence to policies to protect clients' rights and well-being.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prefer one year's experience working with children.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must pass a physical examination, drug screen and TB skin test.
• Must pass an MVR, DCF fingerprint background, and KDADS background.

Responsibilities

• Participates in the client’s daily planning routine.
• Supervises and mentors the client during meals, dressing and personal hygiene, and monitors room cleaning and life skills.
• Provides structure, security, and appropriate boundaries for clients.
• Acts as a positive adult role model and provides feedback to clients.
• Supervises clients at all times and monitors safety.
• Demonstrates de-escalation techniques and professional ethics in interactions.
• Communicates effectively with clients and co-workers.
• Maintains client confidentiality and follows SOPs and regulations.
• Demonstrates respect and openness to diverse youth cultures and works as a team.
