The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is seeking a Specialized Behavioral Health Consultant (SBHC) to improve youth behavioral health outcomes within child welfare and community systems. The SBHC provides clinical expertise, links families to services, and collaborates with CPIs and regional partners to promote timely, coordinated care.

This role requires a master’s degree, Florida licensure, at least three years’ experience in substance use or behavioral health, and willingness

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in health or human services required.
• Florida license in psychology, social work, mental health counseling, family/marriage therapy, or related field required.
• At least three years of experience treating substance use disorders.

Aufgaben

• Provide clinical consults with CPIs regarding youth behavioral health, engage families, and connect to treatment and resources.
• Build and sustain partnerships with law enforcement, community-based care agencies, ME, managed care plans, schools, DJJ, APD, and other partners to promote coordinated care.
• Oversee and coordinate care, conduct follow-ups within 6 weeks with parents to ensure services are in place, and provide needed support.
• Participate in local review team and multidisciplinary meetings to support case progress and outcomes.
• Track and document cases and submit reports and statistical data as required.
