Job summary

Rite of Passage’s Southern California Treatment Program in Torrance, CA is hiring a Behavioral Health Specialist to provide mental health rehabilitation and support services to residents. The role supports transitions back to the community and coordinates with social workers and health providers.

Position is full-time in Torrance with LA shifts: Monday–Friday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm. Compensation starts at $23 per hour, with the Rite of Passage Benefits Package after 90 days and medical insurance

Qualifications

• Pass criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam and TB test.
• Hold a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
• Degree combinations: Associate’s with 6 years, Bachelor’s with 4 years, or Master’s with 2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide mental health rehabilitation and support services to residents.
• Develop and monitor each resident’s treatment plan; coordinate with social workers, probation officers, medical/mental health providers, and other institutions.
