Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Massachusetts seeks a Direct Support/Care Professional to support youth at the Paxton House program. With a 1:3 staff-to-student ratio, the role focuses on safety, supervision, and implementing therapeutic interventions.

Training includes orientation and MAPS certification as part of growth in a compassionate setting. The position is full-time, Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, paying from $21.12/hour up to $24.58/hour with higher compensation for education and

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• MAPS certification required or obtainable within 90 days of employment.
• Must attend a 2-week paid orientation in Rutland, MA, followed by specified schedule.

Responsibilities

• Be passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Ensure safety and security of all youth via direct supervision.
• Provide and ensure therapeutic interventions in a compassionate and safe environment.
• Engage with youth to teach and reinforce appropriate behaviors and ADL skills.
• Maintain documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.
