Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health in Rutland, MA seeks a Direct Support/Care Professional to work with youth with complex needs. The role emphasizes safety, compassionate intervention, and daily living skills coaching. A competitive sign-on bonus and MAPS certification incentive are offered.

The position supports the Hillcrest program serving males 12–21 with ASD/IDD, with a 1 staff to 3 students ratio and opportunities for growth within a national behavioral health organization.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MAPS certification required or can be obtained within 6 months.
• Experience with youth with psychological, emotional, or behavioral disorders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision to youth and ensure safety.
• Deliver and support therapeutic interventions in a compassionate environment.
• Engage with youth to promote positive behaviors and reinforcement.
• Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living skills.
• Maintain documentation such as progress notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support treatment plans.
