Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Tucker, GA seeks a contract Assessor/Therapist for our Georgia Youth Counseling-Outpatient Mental Health Program (OPMH). The role reports to the Clinical Supervisor and involves assessing youth, delivering therapy, advocacy, and coordinated services to help families stay safely in the community.

Responsibilities include behavioral health assessments, individual/group/family services, case management, and daily travel to serve youth.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
• 2 years of work experience in direct service with youth and families preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and good driving record.
• Willingness to work flexible/non-traditional hours for foster caregivers and youth.
• Capacity to travel daily for community-based services and collaborate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports the mission and values of NYAP.
• Performs behavioral health assessments for youth, in person or virtually.
• Provides individual, group, and family mental health services and case management.
• Travels daily to deliver community-based services in compliance with requirements.
• Completes required documentation and training on time.
• Coordinates and monitors services for youth and families, including medical and educational needs.
• Reviews and updates youth plans to ensure progress toward goals.
• Builds strong relationships with foster parents and families of origin.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and stabilization services as needed.
• Participates in continuous quality improvement and weekly supervision.
