Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a CNA to provide patient care across units, respond to call lights promptly, and document care according to standards. The role involves maintaining a clean environment, stocking supplies, and assisting in performance improvement initiatives within Mercyhealth’s integrated health system.

The ideal candidate has a CNA certificate, CPR/BLS within 90 days, and may participate in Youth Apprenticeship programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides patient care as assigned and per routine as defined by educational scope, according to standards of care, shift routines, and policies and procedures.
  • Answers call lights in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Documents care provided according to standards.
  • Maintains a clean work and patient environment.
  • Maintains supplies, including scanning, stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
  • Floats to various units based on identified patient care needs.
  • Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Completion of CNA certificate program
  • Participating in a Youth Apprentice program through your high school.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
  • Current CNA Certificate in applicable state.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

PAY RANGE: $17.57 - $25.48
