We have big hearts and love big ideas. We’ve been around for more than 100 years, but don’t let that fool you. Pinnacol is committed to taking care of Colorado employers and workers in the most innovative ways. We celebrate continuous improvement, new ideas, compassion, teamwork, integrity and excellence.

What you’ll do:

This part‑time position is a Registered Youth Apprenticeship through the U.S. Department of Labor and CareerWise USA. Due to federal and state statutory program guidelines, youth apprentices are defined as ages 16-24.

This registered youth apprenticeship features a structured 3-year on‑the‑job training and educational curriculum designed to take you from foundational learning to advanced professional skills. This role is working with a fast‑paced tech company and subsidiary of Pinnacol. This tech‑driven team uses intelligent automation and data analytics to make getting insurance faster and smarter for small businesses.

You’ll be joining the Operations Program Management team and be responsible for projects that touch every part of the business, from leading training sessions and testing out new software (User Acceptance Testing), to diving into data to see how we can improve. Plus, you’ll get hands‑on experience with pro‑level tools like Scribe, Guru, and Looker, building a high‑tech skill set that will look incredible on your future resume.

What you can expect:

  • Attend a classroom training consisting of 20+ business acumen and core competency workshops.
  • Help design the game plan for our team! You’ll assist in building training guides and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that teach our Customer Care Team exactly how to support our clients like pros.
  • Test-drive new software and help build AVA, our very own Chatbot, to make sure it’s ready for the real world.
  • Use professional tools like Looker to create data reports and charts that help the whole company see the big picture and make smart decisions.
  • Support non‑profit community organizations through paid volunteer opportunities.
