Job summary

Preble Street is seeking a full-time Caseworker to join the Anti-Trafficking Services (ATS) team in Portland, ME. You will conduct intensive case management and targeted outreach to support youth and adults who have been trafficked, connecting them with essential services and resources.

The role requires crisis intervention, collaboration with community partners, and documentation of services. Strong communication and sensitivity to trauma are essential; bilingual abilities are preferred.

Qualifications

• Education or study in social work or related field with relevant experience or lived experience.
• Understanding of low-barrier service provision and Housing First principles.
• Harm reduction and empowerment approaches; trauma-informed care; cultural sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive case management and targeted outreach for survivors of trafficking.
• Facilitate access to supportive services to meet basic needs.
• Document and report services; collaborate with ATS teams and community partners.
• Participate in milieu management and program activities across locations.
