Job summary

FamilyCore is seeking a part-time Anger Management and SEL facilitator in Illinois to deliver group and individual services to at-risk youths and adults. You will work with schools and community partners to develop goals, use de-escalation techniques, and support social-emotional learning competencies in a collaborative setting.

Responsibilities include assessments, goal tracking, and coordination with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent life experience.
• 1–3 years of experience required.
• Basic proficiency in Word/Excel; PowerPoint preferred.
• Ability to facilitate and manage groups of students.
• Fundamental knowledge of five SEL competencies and curriculum.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to attain.
• Child passenger safety training required.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and data handling.
• Valid IL driver's license with insurance, ability to drive vans.
• Background checks including DCFS, IDPH, HHS.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group anger management services to youth.
• Develop and implement SEL services for youth and families.
• Conduct strengths-based assessments to plan services.
• Set and monitor individualized goals for youth and families.
• Use de-escalation techniques to promote safety and emotion regulation.
• Maintain relationships with schools, families, therapists, and providers.
• Obtain parental consent and foster positive caregiver relations.
• Refer families to community resources as needed.
• Conduct home visits to support engagement and service delivery.
• Provide safe transportation for students and parents as required.
• Participate in school meetings and local/statewide meetings.
• Collect and report client data and outcomes timely.
• Maintain confidential records per policies and COA standards.
