Job summary

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network in Massachusetts is seeking a Youth & Family Support Worker to connect with youth in behavioral health, offering a supportive, team-focused culture. The role provides culturally informed therapeutic interventions, collaborates with the treatment team, and helps with both mentoring and concrete services including transportation and referrals.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus 1 year of direct experience is required, and a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field plus at least 1 year of direct experience working with children, young adults, and/or families.
• Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide culturally informed therapeutic interventions to children, young adults, and their families, that promote skill building in the life domains of:social functioning, symptom management, coping skills and activities of daily living.
• Collaborate with all members of the team to ensure continuity in treatment, services, and messages delivered.
• Provide both soft services (mentoring, counseling, skill-building) with identified clients as well as hard services including transportation, referrals, accessing concrete services such as furniture, food, etc.
• Serve as an advocate and attend meetings with the family and as requested by the youth and/or family.

Youth & Family Support Worker

Community Based - Waltham

Salary Range: $22.00 - $28.00/hour depending on experience and degree + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).
