Job summary

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring a Residential Counselor to empower youth and families. You will supervise residents, support skill-building, and participate in trainings to maintain certifications while fostering a safe, engaging environment.

Evenings/weekends are required; MAP certification enables medication administration and safe transport. A sign-on bonus is offered and comprehensive benefits accompany psychotherapy-style support.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; background checks will be performed.
• Evenings and weekends availability; holiday coverage.
• MAP certification required for medication administration.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Participate in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitate recreational activities and provide positive role modeling for youth.
• Safe client transportation and medication administration once MAP certified.
• Help provide basic needs: meals, safe living environment and hygiene.

Residential Counselor

Salary Range: $20.50 - $21.50/hour depending on experience + sign-on bonus (half paid after 6 months of employment and half paid after 1 year of employment/pro-rated for part-time).

We are looking to cover the following shifts: Saturdays to Wednesdays, from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM

What You Will Do:

• Directly supervise and engage with youth/residents in activities and daily routines.
• Support skill building for all youth/residents through collaborative team work.
• Show yourself to be a willing learner in trainings and maintain necessary certifications.
• Facilitating recreational activities for clients, working with the staff team to ensure the program structure while providing positive role modeling for youth.
• Safe client transportation and medication administration once MAP certified.
• Assist the program in providing basic needs for clients, such as regular meals, a safe and clean living environment, recreational activities, and appropriate hygiene.
