Job summary

Planned Parenthood Hudson Peconic (PPHP) seeks a Coordinator for Advocacy and Student Programs to mobilize youth and communities for reproductive health access and rights. You will manage high school and college advocacy, oversee student volunteers, and partner with coalitions across the region to advance PPHP’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with emphasis in political studies/public policy, social work, or related area.
• 1–3 years of community organizing, campaigns, coalition building, or legislative process.
• Demonstrated verbal, written, project coordination, and community organizing skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
• Ability to utilize databases and websites to support public affairs goals.
• Experience working with diverse staff, volunteers, and community representatives.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize young people and communities to support reproductive health access and rights.
• Manage student advocacy programs in high schools and colleges/universities.
• Lead outreach events on college campuses and canvassing/phone bank activities.
• Organize PPHP's Youth Lobby event and engage coalitions regionally.
• Develop partnerships with allied organizations and coalitions.
• Prepare and present legislation, policy, and advocacy materials for partners and campus groups.
