Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court is seeking an Activities Coordinator (Part-Time) to oversee evening and weekend recreational programs for detained youth. The role emphasizes behavior management, positive engagement, and safe activity planning within the Detention Center.

Responsibilities include coordinating leisure activities, supervising youth participation, and preparing program reports while ensuring security and compliance with court policies.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma and minimum age of 21.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Corrections, or other Social Science.
• Relevant work experience in residential or secured facility or military/paramilitary background preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in planning free time activities (exercising, games, sports, arts, crafts, events).
• Interact with residents through activities, discussions, and modeling positive behavior.
• Motivate and encourage residents to participate in events.
• Secure activity areas before use and ensure hazards are minimized.
• Provide input to management on residents’ needs and program improvements.
• Assist in transporting youth to and from locations.
• Prepare reports describing youth activities and participation.
