Job summary

Rite of Passage - Miami Youth Academy is seeking a Maintenance Worker to keep our Miami, FL campus safe, clean, and well-maintained for youth in a residential program. This is an on-site, full-time role requiring readiness to perform general maintenance tasks including electrical, painting, door hardware, minor plumbing and drains, with a strong emphasis on reliability.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, prior building maintenance experience preferred, a valid state driver’s license,

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Prior building maintenance experience preferred (general building maintenance, minor electrical, painting, door hardware, minor plumbing, drains, etc.).
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years.
• Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, and TB test.
• Must have excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week and a varied schedule with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform general building maintenance and repairs.
• Handle minor electrical, plumbing, painting, and door hardware tasks.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the facility for resident youth.
• Prepare written reports and maintain records.
