Job summary

State of Washington seeks a Youth Academy Residential Specialist 3 - Cadre Team Leader to supervise Cadet corps in a highly structured, 24/7 residential setting. You will lead Cadre team members, implement daily training plans, and support Core Components such as leadership, fitness, health, and community service.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED and at least three years of experience with at‑risk youth, with college credits able to substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or GED equivalent.
• Three years of experience working with at‑risk youth or related youth services, social services, education or law enforcement.
• Two years of college may be substituted for one year of required experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cadre Team members in implementing daily training plans for Cadets on a 24/7 basis.
• Lead activities related to Core Components: Leadership/Followership; Physical Fitness; Health & Hygiene; Service to Community.
• Assess behavior and program performance and provide guidance to maximize Cadet potential.
