Job summary

Seattle University seeks part-time mentors for the Redhawk Academic Mentoring Program at Washington Middle School. Mentors will provide weekly in-person academic and social-emotional support to students in grades 6–8, on-site at Washington Middle School, building belonging and school connection.

Mentors must participate in weekly meetings, ongoing professional development, and coordinate with the Site Manager and Team Leader.

Qualifications

• Willingness to participate in mentoring sessions and meetings.
• Willingness to grow mentoring skills and practices.
• Ability to interact with scholars from diverse backgrounds in an academic setting.
• Be dependable and reliable with on-site presence.

Responsibilities

• Effectively develop and maintain authentic relationships with scholars and keep detailed records.
• Coordinate with site manager and team leaders to ensure a positive mentoring experience for all scholars and families.
