Job summary

IDEA Public Schools is seeking a Job Coach for its 18+ program in Texas. The role supports young adults by applying classroom learning to real-work tasks, guided by Teacher assessments and IEP goals.

You will work in classrooms and job sites, providing on-the-spot feedback and helping students earn industry-based certifications in partnership with South Texas College. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, community stakeholders, and external partners to maximize post-secondary

Qualifications

• Education: At least 48 college hours required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Experience working with students with cognitive and/or pervasive developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Licenses or Certifications: Willingness to pursue a Special Education teaching certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Teacher to develop real world opportunities aligned to student’s IEP goals, which will allow authentic practice.
• Read, analyze, and respond to IEP data tracking to prioritize the highest leverage next action steps.
• Participate in highly effective data conversations with young adults, parents, and community stakeholders to increase young adult IEP, transition, and post-secondary outcomes.
