Job summary

Compass Health Center, Llc in Northbrook, IL seeks a group therapist to lead and co-lead therapy groups for adults, primarily ages 18–23, using CBT, DBT, and ACT within an intensive outpatient framework.

As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidenced based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings.

What You'll Do:

• Providing group therapy to patients in a safe and therapeutic milieu with patients mostly aged 18-23
• Facilitating and co-facilitating skills, psychoeducation, and process therapy groups using CBT, DBT, ACT, and Motivational Interviewing approaches within our Dual Diagnosis Intensive Outpatient Program
• Facilitating and co-facilitating skills, psychoeducation, and process therapy groups using CBT, DBT, and ACT approaches within our General Mood and Anxiety Intensive Outpatient Program
• Developing effective therapeutic group relationships that promote positive change in patients
• Relaying relevant clinical information to treatment teams during daily rounds and throughout the day as needed
• Developing program material and adjusting group therapy content, as needed, to fit group needs
• Engaging in crisis management, as needed
• Charting in our electronic medical records system
• This position may also include meeting with patients individually for case management

Who You Are:

• Have one year post master’s experience (preferred)
