Job summary

CorePower Yoga in San Diego is hiring an instructor to deliver an extraordinary studio experience. You will welcome students, guide CPY-aligned classes, and foster a supportive community while prioritizing safety and accessibility.

The role requires a 200-hour yoga teacher training and CPR/AED certification, with classes scheduled in studio; you'll read studio communications, plan classes, and contribute to a positive, inclusive environment every day.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training with additional CE hours.
• Current CPR/AED certification required.
• High School diploma preferred.
• Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to lead students in physical activity for up to 1.5 hours.
• Ability to withstand heat up to 104 degrees for 60 minutes in heated classes.
• Assigned studio set with home and supporting studios; routine feedback and community growth.

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week for a minimum of 4 hours in studio.
• Educate students on alignment, offer modifications, and use CPY cueing formulas.
• Be in studio 30 minutes before and after each class to read communications, plan CPY-aligned classes, and connect with the student community.
• Connect with students 30 minutes before and after class to support personal growth and studio initiatives.
• Welcome students, check-in, navigate POS transactions, front desk duties, and ensure a memorable experience.
• Perform cleaning tasks to ensure CPY health protocols and safety.
• Contribute to a supportive and fun studio environment by upholding CPY core values.
• Act as in-studio ambassador for CPY initiatives including All Access Membership and retail.
