Job summary

Plus One, part of the Optum Workplace Well-being portfolio, seeks a Group Fitness Instructor to lead Yoga at our Plano, TX fitness center. Design engaging formats, curate playlists, and motivate participants across levels.

Opportunity to cover classes at multiple locations and contribute to a supportive, health-focused corporate environment. Must hold valid group fitness and CPR/AED certifications and excel in client engagement.

Qualifications

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate and CPR/AED certification.
• Experience in Group Fitness, corporate health promotion, or wellness.
• Professional communication to obtain and relay information with clients/guests.
• Public speaking ability and interaction with participants.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking an energetic, reliable and passionate Group Fitness Instructor to teach Yoga at a high profile company's fitness center located in Plano, TX.

• Develop effective, engaging, and motivating class formats accompanied by fun and appropriate playlists.
• Have a passion for client results by building class attendance and offering alternative movements to accommodate all levels of fitness.
• Opportunity to provide class coverage at multiple locations.

Requirements:

• Current nationally recognized Group Fitness Certification or specialty class certificate, specialty class license (i.e. Zumba®, etc.) and current CPR /AED certification (no online CPR/AED certification accepted).
• Prior experience in Group Fitness, Personal Training, corporate health promotion, wellness, etc.
• Must be knowledgeable about the industry with the customer skills to network, engage, and interact with all clients, guests, and participants.
• Must communicate professionally using appropriate vocabulary and grammar to obtain and relay information to and from clients/guests.
• Ability to effectively engage participants as a public speaker.
• Competent with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $30 to $75. Pay is based on several factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, certifications, geographic differentials, and other business and organizational needs.
