Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is hiring a yoga instructor for our inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility. You will develop and conduct group yoga sessions, model techniques, and foster a recovery-focused atmosphere to support clients’ mindfulness and coping skills.

Work with the clinical team to track progress and document sessions, challenges, and outcomes while upholding recovery principles of honesty, integrity and compassion.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year in the treatment industry preferred.
• Valid yoga instruction certification required.
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills.
• Strong flexibility, collaboration, and motivational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct group yoga sessions and model poses, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques.
• Create an engaging, therapeutic atmosphere to support recovery skills.
• Encourage client engagement, cultivating mindfulness, self-love, awareness, and control.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to track client progress and coordinate care.

Now Hiring a yoga instructor for our inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility, in Richmond, VA.

What You'll Do

• Develop and conduct group yoga sessions and model yoga positions, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques
• Create an engaging, therapeutic atmosphere conducive to the development of recovery skills
• Encourage clients to engage, cultivating mindfulness and self - love, awareness, and control
• Collaborate with extended clinical team to track client progress and ensure coordination of care
• Maintain complete documentation of all sessions conducted, and client challenges and progress
• Model all recovery principles such as honesty, integrity and compassion in all client interactions

What We're Looking For

• High School diploma/ GED preferred
• Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
• Valid yoga instruction certification
• Excellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
• Strong flexibility, collaboration, and motivational skills
