Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Richmond, VA is hiring a yoga instructor for our detox and residential treatment facility. You will design and lead group yoga sessions, teach breathing, mindfulness, and recovery-focused techniques to clients.

Collaborate with the clinical team to document progress, support relapse prevention, and maintain compassionate, honest care. Requires a high school diploma and a yoga certification; one year experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Qualifications

Yoga certification is required or preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience working in treatment settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and conduct group yoga sessions for detox and residential clients.
Model breathing techniques, mindfulness, and recovery-focused yoga.
Collaborate with the clinical team to track client progress and coordinate care.
Maintain complete documentation of sessions and client progress.
Uphold recovery principles of honesty, integrity, and compassion in all interactions.

Now Hiring a yoga instructor for our inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility, in Richmond, VA.

What You'll Do

Develop and conduct group yoga sessions and model yoga positions, breathing, stretches, and mindfulness techniques
Create an engaging, therapeutic atmosphere conducive to the development of recovery skills
Encourage clients to engage, cultivating mindfulness and self - love, awareness, and control
Collaborate with extended clinical team to track client progress and ensure coordination of care
Maintain complete documentation of all sessions conducted, and client challenges and progress
Model all recovery principles such as honesty, integrity and compassion in all client interactions

What We’re Looking For

High School diploma/ GED preferred
Min. one year experience in treatment industry preferred
Valid yoga instruction certificationExcellent interpersonal, observational, and communication skills
Strong flexibility, collaboration, and motivational skills
