Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated CorePower Yoga instructor to lead a minimum of two classes per week in-studio, educate students on alignment, and implement CPY cueing to ensure safe, effective practice.

You will arrive early, stay late for planning and community engagement, support CPY initiatives, handle front desk duties, and uphold CPY Core Values while fostering a welcoming studio environment.

Qualifications

• Before June 2020: 200-hour CPY training + 50 hours CE for C1/C2/HPF/Hot Formats, or Yoga Sculpt with 40 hours CE.
• After June 2020: 200-hour format-related training in person/online, or CorePower Online training, or 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive.
• Current CPR/AED certification required
• High School diploma preferred
• Excellent oral communication, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Ability to lead students in physical activity for a maximum of 1.5 hours at a time
• Ability to withstand exposure to heat of a maximum of 104 degrees for a minimum of 60 minutes in heated classes
• Willingness to teach at an assigned home studio and support studios, prioritize subbing, receive routine feedback and CPY initiatives
• Ability to move around the studio, crouch, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of two CorePower Yoga classes per week for at least 4 hours in studio
• Educate students on alignment, offer posture modifications, and use CPY cueing formulas for safe practice
• Arrive 30 minutes before and remain 30 minutes after each class to read communications, plan CPY-aligned classes, and connect with the student community
• Support students’ personal growth, studio growth, and CPY initiatives
• Welcome students, check them into class, navigate POS transactions, perform front desk duties, and ensure a memorable experience
• Perform assigned cleaning tasks according to CPY Smart Health Protocol standards
• Uphold CPY Core Values and foster positive working relationships
• Act as an in-studio ambassador for CorePower initiatives and business streams, including memberships, programming, lifestyle programs, and retail

Requirements

• Prior to June 2020: Certificate of completion from a 200-hour yoga teacher training plus 50 hours of continuing education for C1, C2, HPF, and Hot Formats, or Yoga Sculpt/Fitness Training plus 40 hours of continuing education for Yoga Sculpt


• After June 2020: Certificate from a format-related 200-hour yoga teacher training in person/online, and/or CorePower Yoga Online teacher training, and/or completion of 50HR Yoga Sculpt Intensive


• Current CPR/AED certification required


• High School diploma preferred


• Excellent oral communication skills, professionalism, and strong interpersonal skills


• Proficiency in computer applications
