The YMCA of Metropolitan Washington is seeking a dedicated driver to transport children to and from school as part of our Before and After School program in Washington, DC. This part-time position prioritizes safety, reliability, and positive interactions with youth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport children to and from school according to assigned schedules
• Ensure all passengers are properly seated and wearing seatbelts
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and YMCA staff as needed
• Adhere to all traffic laws and YMCA policies and procedures
• Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues

About the Job
