YMCA of Snohomish County in Stanwood, WA, is seeking a part-time Before & After School Driver/Lead to safely transport children between schools and program sites and to help run the daily program. This role combines safe driving with youth leadership, supervising activities, and building confidence and social skills in a caring, team-focused environment.
Availability Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon shifts; some full-day hours during school breaks.

As a Before & After School Driver/Lead, you will help children safely get where they need to go- and create a positive place for them to learn, play, and belong once they arrive.
This role combines safe transportation with hands-on youth leadership. You will serve as a professional role model, lead engaging activities, support daily site operations, and help children build confidence, friendships, teamwork, and social-emotional skills.

As a Driver/Lead, you will safely transport children between schools, YMCA program sites, and field trip locations. You will also work directly with children in our before and after-school programs, helping lead the daily program and stepping into additional site responsibilities as needed.
You will help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where every child feels supported and included.
This is an in-person, part-time position working directly with children.

Schedules vary based on school start and end times and program needs. Additional hours may be available during the summer through employment at a YMCA Day Camp.
Follow YMCA safety standards and transportation procedures.

As directed, lead and participate in a range of activities in indoor/outdoor settings. Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise program activities. Staff may be required to move weights of approximately 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.
